I received my bachelor degree in Medical Laboratory and Biotechnology from Chung Shan Medical University in 2012. When I was an undergraduate student, I was interested in research and thus joined Professor Min-Jon Lin’s lab. During the last two years in Lin’s lab, my research was focused on pharmacological properties of ClC-1 chloride channels, which were expressed in HEK293t cell.

After one-year exploring in neuroscience field and getting more familiar with the techniques in Lien lab, I am currently interested in the adult neurogenesis in dentate gyrus of the hippocampus. We all know that GABAergic inhibitory interneurons in the dentate gyrus provide spatiotemporal control of granule cell activity. By combining optogenetics and electrophysiology, I can selectively activate fast-spiking GABAergic interneuron in dentate gyrus by using PV-Cre mice and AAV5-ChR2 virus injection. I want to examine whether granule cell can receive different GABAergic input strength from PV-positive interneurons during different maturation states.
